Local Students Raise Funds For Cancer

On February 18th Chatfield students collected $649 in under 5 minutes and Columbine students collected $178 for a total of $827 during the halftime of the Boys Basketball game between Chatfield Senior H.S. and Columbine H.S. held at Chatfield. Chatfield students' goal this year is to raise $40,000 for the Littleton Relay for Life event which will be held on Saturday, May 14th from 5 p.m. until Sunday, May 15th at 9 a.m. This event draws over 350 students from Chatfield every year to get involved in raising money for the American Cancer Society. At the basketball game the students wore white shirts and different colored bandanas.

The students from these schools participate in Relay For Life events in the Denver area and their staff partner is Monica Wilde.  Please click on this link, story, to read the rest of the story about these incredible kids!
