American Cancer Society Staff Member Joins the Grand Club

Mountain Region Administrative Manager, Patricia Sewell, is a member of the Grand Club!  She's a team member of The Chunkette's Hogs who participate in the Relay For Life of Colorado Springs and this will be their second year as a team for this particular Relay event.  

Patricia says,
    "My reason to relay is in honor and memory of my dear friend Annette Chunko.  She was a cancer survivor for about 8 years, until in November of 2010, she went to heaven.
    I am an Ovarian Cancer Survivor - diagnosed in Oct of 2004.   My sister is Breast Cancer Survivor.  I lost my mother of Ovarian Cancer almost 3 years ago.    
    To me raising funds to find a cure is personal and my wish is that noone will have to hear the words: you have cancer as a death sentence.  Let's find the cure."

Patricia has raised $1,170 up to now and says the event is in June, and is hoping to meet her $1,500 goal by then.
